Profile

I studied international economics at university, where my interest in socio-economic development was sparked. Since then, I have been particularly drawn to Asian economies, with a passion for uncovering the real financial and economic conditions in developing countries beyond mere indicators. My academic focus has been on Southeast Asian economies and finance, centering my research on regional financial economics. My work is grounded in extensive fieldwork and highlighted by econometric analysis of microdata.

Message to students

Economic research on East and Southeast Asia from a regional studies perspective goes beyond economic growth, incorporating politics, culture, religion, and language through a localized lens. This interdisciplinary approach addresses complex issues in contemporary Asian society. Throughout this process, as researchers deepen their understanding of sustainable economic development and comprehensively analyze local societies, they may become increasingly engaged, with their perspectives evolving and their insights deepening.
