Human Resources Development Goals
Master's Program
The Master’s Program in the Department of Global Studies within the Graduate School of Global Studies consists of the American Studies Cluster, Contemporary Asian Studies Cluster, and Global Society Studies Cluster. These three clusters share the common goal of assisting students in cultivating advanced communication skills and developing an agile mind. This is fostered by an interdisciplinary and integrated approach that emphasizes a student’s competence to discover and pursue research themes on their own initiative, and to hold intelligent and informed discussions on a wide range of issues. In so doing, the program aims to develop talented experts who can employ various public institutions, private enterprise and new media to promote international exchange and understanding among societies with different cultural backgrounds.
